Wood carvings
This is a wood carving I made that is a low relief carving and has added wire and is a mixed media piece.
I based this piece on a poem by Edgar Allen Poe, The Raven.
I decieded to create a wood carving based on my family and mark a sweet moment in time.
I created this fun piece for the holidays.
I made this in a folk style and explored movement with this piece.
Sewing art quilts and soft sculpture
I created this piece by cutting out felt, sewing backing and based this on a sketch I did of my cat. I used a blanket stitch to attach the felt and ironed it on to the surface with fuseable webbing.
This piece is of a guinea pig and flowers. I machine sewed the pieces, hand stitched the details and added bead work. This piece is sold.

I made this snowman or snow baby, as I call them, using fabric, sweater material, felt and wool pieces. I sewed them to the body of the soft sculpture. I consider this a repurposed piece as I used pieces of fabric that would have normally been discarded and adding to the landfil problem.
This is a mixed media art quilt. This piece shows animals and the face of St. Francis which I created with watercolor paper. I machine stitched them to the fabric and added layers of fabric strips, felt, and paint to add more dimension. This piece is sold.
Mechcanical works
I used a scroll saw to cut the pieces and a hand sander to smooth them out
This was the finished piece. It used to arms that could move around as well as grab items. A sumi ink and brush set were attached to the hands to create impressions on paper.
This is the plans for a motorized simple robot design
This robot was made with a mechanical battery operated engine. I attached markers and added features to my scribbler and let it go.
This was powered by an engine and used a propeller to move across the paper leaving a trail of markings.
Digital art
I created this piece with adobe photoshop and picsart app program. I used layes, light adjustments, and filters to create this image.
Another digital image I created using adobe photoshop and picsart.
This was made using only picsart free art program.
A fun piece I made that juxtaposed different elements together. I used Oliva Gude's guide for art elements as a basis for this piece.
I wanted to play with something highly technical and contrast that with design elements. Hence, the astronaut with dots
I'm a fan of Charlie Chaplin and had to bring him into my digital art. I love his style, whimsy and humor. In this piece, I chose a photo of his face expressing a sense of shyness at being in the spotlight. I love the contrast of modern looking dots with a timeless vintage Charlie Chaplin.
Collage work
This was one of my first collages where I used a digital photo with painted/handcut items. I liked the contrast, the bright colors and playfulness of this piece. I can see creating an entire lesson on this image from hand cut paper to digital processing.
When I first moved to Pennsylvania, I was taken by the amount of forests and green. This is my homage to PA. I used cut paper on primed wood. I painted the paper from scrap paper and newspaper making it a reuse project as well.
This collage piece is my tribute to Ella. I love her voice and wanted to give her angel wings as an honor to her voice. I layered the image with tissue paper, fabric and textures. I built the wings up with fabric and used a printed photo of Ella on top. I painted the piece with hearts and dots to add emphasis what I feel when I hear her voice. I gave it a varnish spray to protect the piece.
This was a fun piece I made for an art class I taught at a local shop in Altoona. This piece has faces of people that I printed, cut out and added spooky elements. It was a fun piece to create and used for community events for Zombie Town USA in Altoona
Paintings
This was my take on Beatrix Potter and modern day themes. I wanted to create a fun piece that incorporated Potter's whimsy with modern day twist.

This painting has one element collaged in which paved the way for this winter pup painting. I based this painting on an associates dog. This piece is sold
This is an example of my painting skills and would technically be called a collage/mixed media. I created this with cardboard cutouts and sticks which I painted. This whimsical piece was donated for a fundraiser at Penn Mont Academy.
An abstracted butterfly. Displayed at Tavern 27.
I created this large painting (24" by 36") on masonite board. On the back of the canvas, I added wood strips to create a rigid form for my painting. I used a stencil (I created this with large sheets of posterboard) and used this for the wings. Painted with acrylic and glitter, this piece has a luminous effect. Displayed at Tavern 27.
